Authorize Staff to apply for a USTA Facility Assistance Grant and Northern Section Adopt a Court Matching Grant for improvements to the courts at both Parkview and Sioux Park Tennis Facilities, and accept the funds if awarded.

|
A Facility Assistance grant program is available through the United States Tennis Association and the City’s tennis court resurfacing project is considered a Category II project which qualifies for a grant up to 50% of the total project cost with a maximum award of $10,000.
Rapid City is in the Northern Section of the USTA and that organization has an Adopt a Court Matching Grant Program. The City’s tennis court reconstruction project is considered a Category III and a grant will cover up to 10% of the total project with a maximum grant award of $15,000.
Both Parkview and Sioux Park Facilities are eligible for funding from each of these grant programs. We anticipate submitting applications to both programs for each facility. Staff is requesting authorization to apply for the grant and accept the funding if awarded.
